MANILA, Philippines – A National Basketball Association (NBA) legend is betting on Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao to conquer "Sugar" Shane Mosley in their upcoming fight. You can watch Pacquiao vs Mosly.
For former Los Angeles Lakers cager AC Green, there is no doubt Pacquiao will beat American Mosley in their welterweight match set this May 7 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Manny should be able to beat him. He should be. Who do you think is gonna win?” Green told abs-cbnNEWS.com.
“I think he will,” he added.
Green said he has watched both Pacquiao and Mosley on television, as the pugs had previously traded punches with their respective opponents.
The 47-year-old predicted a Pacquiao victory, despite being an American like Mosley.
“You root for whoever is your favorite or who you think is gonna win. I don't think where they come from matters,” he said.
Green arrived last week in the country to coach trainees under the Jr. NBA National Training Camp.
Green was joined by several NBA and Philippine Basketball Association officials for his coaching stint, which concluded last Monday.
Recently, World Wrestling Entertainment stars John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson also picked Pacquiao to win over Mosley.
Pacquiao, meanwhile, is at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, California, for the final stages of his preparations.
